Ehrung durch den Landrat
Auch unser Verein lebt von den Engagierten in den Abteilungen.
Um auch diese einmal zu ehren, rief der Landkreis Görlitz dazu auf, einmal die
"Guten Seelen des Vereins" zu benennen.
Stellvertretend für all unsere guten Seelen nahmen am Nikolaustag
Christine Messner und Manuel Wisotzky an der Auszeichnungsveranstaltung
im Bürgerhaus Niesky teil.
Dabei dankte ihnen Landrat Stephan Meyer für die geleistete
ehrenamtliche Arbeit und übergab auch ein kleines Präsent als Dankeschön.

Auch wir möchten uns bei all den guten Seelen im Verein bedanken,
ohne die es keinen geregelten und freudvollen Sportbetrieb geben würde.

Ehrung für Dieter Büttner
Mit diesem Jubel hätte Dieter Büttner sicherlich nicht gerechnet. Anlässlich des ersten Faustballturniers in diesem Jahr auf der heimischen Anlage im Freizeitpark, nutzten die Verantwortlichen der Abteilung und des Vereins die Möglichkeit, Dieter Büttner für seine jahrelange aufopferungsvolle und ehrenamtliche Arbeit zu danken.
In seinen Händen lag seit mehreren Jahrzehnten die Leitung der Abteilung Faustball, welche er in diesem Jahr an Gisela Bursch übergab. Im Rahmen des Sportvereinswettbewerbes
"So geht sächsisch" sollte in diesem Jahr die Arbeit von Ehrenamtlern im Sport gewürdigt werden. Der Verein stellte daraufhin den Antrag und wurde als ein Gewinnerverein bekannt gegeben. Somit erhielt der sichtlich überraschte Dieter Büttner ein kleines Überraschungspaket des Freistaates Sachsen für seine großartige Arbeit im Verein. Dieses wurde ihm durch Gisela Bursch und unserem Geschäftsführer, Guido Paulig, unter dem großen Jubel aller anwesenden Sportler übergeben. Sichtlich berührt fand er dann auch noch einige Worte des Dankes.
